If you are in the METALS program on a F-1 visa, then you qualify for 12 months of OPT. Since METALS is a STEM degree, if your employer is an E-Verify employer, as of this writing you will qualify for an additional 24 months of OPT.

Please note that not every employer listed offers E-Verify in every situation. For example, Carnegie Mellon University is an E-Verify employer, but only offers E-Verify for individuals who are working on U.S. Government contracts.
