About the Program: METALS is a one-year, interdisciplinary masters program that trains graduate students to apply evidence-based research in learning to create effective instruction and educational technologies for formal and informal settings such as schools, workplaces, and museums. METALS culminates with a seven-month capstone project for an external client. Guided by industry and faculty mentors in this team-based research and development project, students experience the end-to-end process of a product cycle from idea through prototyping. Challenge Your Limits. Learn how to employ evidence-based research to create innovations in learning.
Team projects are a large part of the curriculum. We are currently accepting applicants for consideration for the Fall 2016 class. Applications are due December 15. To learn more attend our virtual open house or visit our website at https://metals.hcii.cmu.edu.
